    Kath O’Dwyer is the Home Manager at Ty Llandaff. Kath has worked in the care industry for over 30 years and has extensive experience across the sector. Her career to date has been working with local authorities, charity and the private sector, in residential and Nursing Home settings, Day Services and Supported Living. “It has been a privilege to care for our elderly and I have had the pleasure of a lifetime of stories and memories in my journey. I strive for excellence, my door is always open, the values of the Care Concern Group and what I am committed to delivering, care of the highest standard, the basic principles of care I very much respect, and dignity is of the highest priority.”

    Kath is a very passionate carer, and endeavours to drive quality in the service for those in our care, with the combined support from staff, families, local authority commissioning teams, health care professionals and regulators.

    Andrea is our Deputy Manager here at Ty Llandaff and has a wealth of experience having previously worked with us as a Clinical Lead. Andrea started her career as a Care Practioner for Social Services in an EMI Unit before embarking on her nursing training. Having practiced as a Registered General Nurse for over 20 years she has worked in intensive care, outpatients hospital for medical rehabilitation, and on a specialised Parkinson’s ward.

    Sue brings a wealth of experience having worked extensively in the NHS and having first worked at the home at its opening in 2016 across a variety of roles including senior carer, trainer, and receptionist. We are delighted to welcome Sue back as our Office Manager in July 2022.

    James has over twenty years of catering experience. James trained at the Celtic Manor resort gaining my qualifications in NVQ 1,2,3 and 4. He worked his way up to the level of Sous chef during this time and helped cater for such events as the NATO summit and Ryder cup.

    James took on his first head chef role for Brains working at the Ty Mawr in Lisvane for two years. Following that, James became a Catering Manager at St Joseph’s Hospital in Newport. James then became Head chef of Pentwyn house care home in Marshfield until he became Head Chef here at Ty Llandaff. “I’m very passionate about food and have taken on an allotment which I and my young children enjoy spending time at, it’s very important for me to teach them to respect food and know where it comes from and how it is grown”.

    Joseph joined Ty Llandaff in 2022 as an oversees pre-registered Nurse. With the support of the team at Ty Llandaff, Joseph progressed in his role and successfully completed his OSCE exam and is proudly practicing as a Registered General Nurse in the home. Joseph is a valued member of the Team and has recently welcomed his family to Wales too.

    Felecia began her journey at Ty Llandaff care home in May 2023, making a significant move from a different facility within the same company. Starting as a senior carer, her professional evolution reflects her dedication to enhancing the quality of care. Currently, Felecia is actively involved in expanding her role, transitioning into the position of a nursing assistant, and contributing to the wellbeing of those under her care.

    Nasher brings years of valuable experience in the field of care. Becoming a part of Ty Llandaff Care Home in November 2023 as a carer, and is proud to have been promoted to the role of senior carer in early 2024. Currently, Nasher is aspiring to become a Nurse Assistant. Nasher is in the final stages of completing my QCF Level 3 and has completed the ‘Get into Care’ training offered by Cardiff Council. Ty Llandaff is more than just a care home to Nasher; it’s a lovely place, and all the residents here feel like family. Nasher is dedicated to providing the best possible care and support to everyone at Ty Llandaff.

    Having previously worked as a member of our care team, Bev now works in reception here at Ty Llandaff Care Home, where her infectious smile, hard work, and friendly nature are a warm addition to the team. Bev is the magic dog whisperer and is super friendly, greeting all our visitors to the home and making friends with them.
