Celebrating VE Day at Tŷ Llandaff

At Tŷ Llandaff Care Home, we have had a brilliant month, especially during our recent VE Day celebrations. This special event brought the spirit of wartime classics to life with a vibrant celebration, ensuring our residents had a memorable and meaningful day.

The celebration was filled with delightful activities, starting with delicious cupcakes and a tipple to set the mood. Our home was transformed with decorations reminiscent of the 1940s, creating an atmosphere that took everyone back in time. The highlight of the day was a fantastic performance by a guest singer, who serenaded us with some wartime songs. Residents, staff, and family members joined in for a good old-fashioned knees-up, singing along and dancing to the music that once brought hope and unity during some challenging times.
