Kicking Off the Season of Giving With the Local Cardiff Community
This month, we have been overwhelmed with the generosity of the local community as we have been selected to receive presents through the Dunelm “Delivering Joy” campaign. This initiative was driven by community spirit and kindness and resulted in the donation of over 100 gifts for our beloved residents.
Members of the Cardiff community nominated and voted for Tŷ Llandaff to be the recipient of this generous campaign and used it as a way to showcase their appreciation and love for the elderly members of our home. In November, the news was announced, and gift tags with our residents’ names were displayed at the local Dunelm store.
To mark this special occasion, some of our residents, along with Anita from the activities team, visited the store. We were warmly welcomed and treated to delicious refreshments. The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as they collected the beautifully wrapped gifts donated by the kind-hearted members of the community.
The overwhelming support from the residents of Cardiff has been deeply touching to both our residents and our team. This incredible act of generosity not only brought smiles and joy to the residents but also reinforced the strong connection between Tŷ Llandaff and the wider community. We understand the importance of maintaining an active role in the local community and embrace this through the many activities and events we hold and attend in Cardiff.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this possible, from those at Dunelm to the wonderful people of Cardiff who voted for us. At Tŷ Llandaff, we are committed to fostering meaningful experiences and connections for our residents. Each of our residents is proud to reside at our care home in Cardiff, and can't wait to open and use their presents!
