The Grand Opening of our New Nursing Unit
Thursday the 10th of August marked the official opening of our top floor and new nursing unit here at Tŷ Llandaff Care Home in Cardiff.
The floor had previously been closed for some time due to COVID-19. However, the floor has recently received a full makeover and is now ready to welcome its first residents. This fully-equipped floor allows us to welcome another 25 residents to our community and is staffed by trained Nurses who have the knowledge and experience to deliver unrivalled nursing care.
The team here have been so excited about the journey of this unit and have worked so hard to ensure it is of a first-class standard for those it will accommodate. To celebrate the official opening, the team gathered for a special ribbon-cutting event, led by our Home Manager, Kath.
As this completes the opening of all areas of our home, we got the residents involved with naming each floor. We are delighted to announce that Tŷ Llandaff Care Home is now providing outstanding care services for up to 70 residents, operating over the following three floors.
- Brecon, our beautiful ground floor named after the Brecon Beacons
- Daffodil, our warm and friendly first floor that pays homage to the national flower of Wales
- Teifi, our brand new, renovated top floor named after one of Wales' most beautiful rivers
